Roll one die or many, from d4 to d100, with an optional modifier.
How the dice roller works
Choose how many dice, the type of die, and an optional modifier, then press Roll. Each die is an independent draw from your browser's cryptographic random number generator, so every face has exactly the same chance and earlier rolls never affect later ones.
The result shows each die, the total including the modifier, and a short history of your last ten rolls. Notation like 3d6+2 means roll three six-sided dice and add two.
Which die for what?
- d6: the standard board-game die. Use 2d6 for games that ask for two dice.
- d20: the main die in many tabletop role-playing games, used for attack rolls, checks and saves.
- d4, d8, d10, d12: commonly used for damage and other game effects.
- d100 (percentile): a roll from 1 to 100 for chance tables and percentage rolls.
- 4d6: a common way to generate a character stat in some role-playing games, usually dropping the lowest die.

Are my rolls stored?
No. The history lives only on this page and disappears when you reload it.
